Nestled on 0.7 acres among the trees just across Highway 299 from the Mad River, this 1980s-era single-family residence underwent an extensive 4-phase renovation and expansion. The first phase included replacing the existing gas heating system with a new mini-split heat pump capable of meeting the home’s future needs after the completion of the addition alongside remodeling the kitchen. New cabinets, tile backsplash and countertops were installed while preserving the home’s original hardwood floors.
Phase 2 included grading and excavation work and installation of a new RV pad, complete with a new, dedicated septic system and hardscaping and utilities integration (with water and power branched from the main residence).
In Phase 3 a new 650-sq. ft. living space was added to the existing resistance that included a new primary bedroom suite and “sunroom” entertainment area. The addition required extensive finish woodworking centered around the new Andersen wood framed windows, extensive tile work in the bathroom, and custom built-in features.
The final phase included construction of an impressive 700 sq. ft. outdoor kitchen, that features partially-covered Trex decking, cabinets with granite countertops, full utilities, builder-installed appliances, exterior lighting, and hardscaping.
