Nestled among the trees and overlooking Moonstone Beach, the Seadrift property had fallen into disrepair and was in serious need of renovation. Originally constructed in the 1960’s, the single-family home and detached garage were transformed into modern, energy-efficient spaces equipped for seaside luxury living. Revival Home Builders acted as General Contractor throughout the lifecycle of the project, from demolition and site preparation to exterior finishes and hardscaping.

Improvements were made to the footings and foundation, and interior and exterior framing for the new plan were completed before alter roof framing to improve drainage. A new membrane roof was installed along with air sealing, rockwool insulation, all new Sierra Pacific windows and doors, and waterproofing of the building envelope to meet targeted energy efficiency goals.

Plumbing, electrical and mechanical upgrades include new septic and whole-house plumbing system, a new 200-Amp electrical service, and a new mini-split heat pump HVAC system, using only 9 kBtu to easily heat and cool the 1,000-square-foot home.

Floor-to-ceiling interior finishes include new LVP flooring, tile work in bathrooms, complete kitchen and bath cabinets and countertops, extensive woodwork interior trim, new paint throughout, built-in storage and shelving. Exterior finishes included complete exterior paint as well as both rebuilt and new redwood decks and hardscaping.
